About
jennifer miller is the owner, designer, and seamstress behind avery road handmade. she has been married to her high school sweetheart for over 11 years, and mother to three beautiful children.
"I come from a family of makers: artists, potters, seamstresses, farmers, woodworkers, machinists, and the list goes on. I grew up always hearing the words, "we can make that," and it's stuck in my head. My shop name and logo are an homage to my family and the pecan farm where I grew up.
I'm passionate about supporting all things handmade, home grown, and lovingly crafted. I love items that have a story behind them and developing relationships with the people that created them.
I learned to sew at an early age, but really became interested/obsessed in 2010 when I got my current sewing machine for Christmas. After my children were born I started making their clothing and as they say, "the rest is history."
I strive to create children's clothing that is timeless and well crafted. Clothes that will last through the seasons and multiple children, and not look worn or dated. I want to make clothes that are lived in and played in, not relegated to special occasions.
Thank you for your time and interest in my shop!"
